CHURCH CONSTITUTION – Our congregation’s Constitution Committee has been working for nearly a year on a complete overhaul of the church Constitution and Bylaws. The Church Council has recently reviewed their work, and will be recommending it to the Voters at the meeting on June 1^st. A number of things, particularly in the area of Congregational Structure, have been changed to allow for greater flexibility and usability. All congregation members are encouraged to view the display in the narthex, and preview the proposed changes. If passed, the current constitution would be suspended for a time (one year?) while we “test drive” the new constitution. After that time a final decision would be made to either keep the new constitution in place permanently, or to revert to the old constitution.
