God established a definite rhythm to life in this age at creation: a seven-day week with a day of rest for worship. During the Reformation, the daily Offices (i. e., Matins, Vespers, and Compline) prepared Christians for reception of the Lord's Supper on the Lord's Day. The evening family devotions found in the church narthex each week have the same intention of preparing us for worship and reception of Christ's body and blood on Sunday. Below is a guide for leading these devotions and a 60-day schedule for praying the Psalter.
